Strength Tarot Card
Strength is one of the Major Arcana cards in a standard tarot deck. It usually depicts a woman dominating a lion by gently holding its jaws open with her hands, an infinity symbol — symbolizing spiritual attainment — hovering over her head. The lion obviously symbolizes the passions and desires of the flesh.
This card exchanges the woman for an angelic Mr. Gurdjieff, perhaps representing strength of Will to oppose the forces of sleep; the lion is replaced with a robot, representing our general unconsciousness and mechanicality. The card seems to represent the strength that is required to wake up, stay awake, and evolve.
