Starting Out
If you’re a spiritual seeker, perhaps you have experienced the vague intuition that ordinary life goes nowhere. In this, you are correct. Organic life on Earth is a closed circle: you are born, you mature, you reproduce, and you die. Survival of the species is the only goal; once you have produced offspring, most of your ordinary potential has been spent.
There are, however, higher levels of Being. The closed circle of life can be opened into an upward spiral. You contain within you a potential for another kind of Life.
Why would you want to do the Work? Simply because, for an adult human being, it is the next step, the next stage in your possible evolution.
